You ride with your friends and not in a large strung-out group. So your experience is individualised.
The Hunter Valley is one of the largest horse breeding and training districts in the world. The heritage of using horses to work cattle and as transport is still part of the valley's culture. There is very little that can compare with the fun of riding trails through native bush land. Add superb wines and fantastic food and you have begun to experience the real Hunter Valley! We have over 8kms of forest trails hidden away in the beautiful vineyard region of Broke Fordwich.

Bush Walks
Three of our accommodation offerings back onto the beautiful and rugged Brokenback Ranges. Walks ranging from easy to challenging are available. The easy walks are along well defined trails over 3 kms on private property.
For the more ambitious walker there is access to over 500 sq km of State forest including pockets of rainforest and evidence of indigenous tribal habitation. Access to this area must be undertaken with strict adherence to care and safety - including measures such as ensuring that notification of general direction and estimated time of return are lodged with relatives or friends, correct clothing and adequate provisions are carried. Detailed maps and communication system are also part of the required items.
